# Noor Al-Sabeel (نور السبيل) > Free, open-source Android app for prayer times (salah), the full adhan and the qibla compass — no ads, no tracking, and all calculations run offline on the device. Noor Al-Sabeel is developed by AhmedZakeFit and released under Apache-2.0. Prayer times support twelve calculation methods (Umm al-Qura, Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority of Survey, ISNA, Karachi, Gulf, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, Turkey, France, or custom angles), with a ±30-minute shift on any individual time to match a local mosque. The app plays a complete recorded adhan at prayer time (with a separate Fajr adhan), shows a pre-prayer reminder with a live countdown, includes a qibla compass with magnetic-declination correction, and displays the official Umm al-Qura Hijri calendar (1924–2076). A dedicated mosque screen searches for nearby mosques on an interactive OpenStreetMap-based map (1–10 km radius, around the current or saved location) — this optional search needs an internet connection. The app collects nothing and sends nothing to any server; the network is used only for the optional online city search, the nearby-mosque search and its map tiles, and the in-app update check. The app UI is available in Arabic and English. It is not on Google Play; distribution is a direct signed APK from GitHub Releases, and an F-Droid submission is planned but not guaranteed. ## Pages - [Landing page (Arabic)](https://ahmedzakefit.github.io/noor-al-sabeel/): overview, features, install steps and FAQ in Arabic. - [Landing page (English)](https://ahmedzakefit.github.io/noor-al-sabeel/en/): the same page in English. ## Download and source - [Direct APK download (latest stable, signed)](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/releases/latest/download/noor-al-sabeel.apk): always resolves to the newest verified release. - [Source code](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel): Kotlin + Jetpack Compose, Apache-2.0. - [Releases and checksums](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/releases): versioned APKs with SHA-256 checksums. ## Policies and docs - [Privacy policy](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/blob/main/PRIVACY.md): exactly what the app stores and sends, written against the source code. - [Calculation methods and sources](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/blob/main/docs/PRAYER_TIMES.md): every method, source and known limitation. - [Changelog](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md): release history. - [Roadmap](https://github.com/AhmedZakeFit/noor-al-sabeel/blob/main/docs/ROADMAP.md): planned work, including the F-Droid submission.
